Curated Treasures
We learned about having nice things from our mother. Mom was an award-winning artist specializing in Vintage American Crafts. She was also a collector of many things-pretty and functional. She began her life-long love of art as a young girl, making her own jewelry. Over more than 60 years, she studied, designed, taught, and operated her own business. Pamela Friend-Gwinn was recognized for much of her work in the press and juried shows. She is best known for jewelry, stenciling, primitive paintings, sailor’s valentines, and miniatures. Mom passed away in 2021. Needless to say, we are probably going to spend the rest of our lives learning how to responsibly rehome her treasures.
